U.S. shouldn't be cozying up to Putin

Thank you to Perry Snipes for a reminder of the ongoing importance of supporting Ukraine (“What happened to support for Ukraine?,” March 20).

Putin has not hidden his plans to restore the “Russian Empire.”

While Ukraine is now front and center, he has already been trying to exert influence in Moldova by unsuccessfully interfering in their elections. Putin also tried to influence national elections in Georgia.

If successful in Ukraine he would like to retake both of these countries and then focus on Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania.

Perhaps we should be less antagonistic with our allies and stop cozying up to Czar Vladimir who continues in his inhumane rampage in Ukraine.
